一、課程簡介:
大學部大四生選修課,大四進研究室之學生選修。選修之學生須參與研究室Group Meeting,並在相關研究室與教師學習專題實驗之技巧等。
班次*:
01班 — 有機組、分析組大四生選修。
02班 — 無機組、物化組大四生選修。

第一學期:大學部大四生選修課,請依專題組別同時選修二門課程:「大四專題研究一(203 49230 班次*)」及「大四專題討論一(203 49130班次*)」
注意事項:(93.5.7系務會議) 上學期修習專題者(大四專題研究一及大四專題討論一),期末須繳交一份經指導教授簽署之書面報告,於系辦收存並於下學期大學部壁報日(約五月底六月初)展示。

第二學期:大學部大四生選修課,請依專題組別同時選修三門課程:「大四專題研究二(203 49240 班次*)」「大四專題討論二(203 49140班次*)」「論文」(203 40100)
注意事項:(93.5.7系務會議)下學期修習專題者(大四專題研究二及大四專題討論二及論文),期末須於大學部壁報日(約五月底六月初)張貼壁報。
參加壁報展之對象:
(1)大四下學期修專題者,因同時修習論文,須參加壁報展。
(2)大四上學期修論文者,以鼓勵參加為原則。不參加者於壁報日二週前至系辦簽名放棄。
(3)未修專題,而有研究成果,擬參加競爭壁報展院長獎或壁報獎項者,於壁報日二週前至系辦報名參加。

二、其他規定:大學部專題討論評分原則:維持原共識:即大三大四專題討論每學期成績九十分及以上者,評分教師應附書面說明。
Overview: Conducting research in the laboratory particularly on the synthesis and analysis of functional nanomaterials as well as on their surface characterizations.
The course is designed for the Chemistry majors to be exposed to the most up-to-date development in the fields of nanomaterials and surface characterization on theory, on instrument design, on analytical skill, on new analysis methodology, and on novel analytical research results that warrant close tracking.
Students taking this course are expected to be aware of the novel development in nanomaterials/surface analysis that is related to the research presently carried out in the laboratory. In addition to exposures to a series of research papers in the related field, they will learn to develop research ideas, to conduct experiments to test the ideas, to organize based on chemical sense the data collected, to analyze the data collected so as to extract important chemical knowledge, to write papers about the research results, and to present the result in a seminar format.

To train students to develop research ideas, to design and carry out experiments, to organize and analyze the experimental data, to extract essential chemical information from the data, and to present the research results 
課程要求
上學期修習專題者,期末須繳交一份經指導教授簽署之書面報告。
下學期修習專題者,期末須於大學部壁報日張貼壁報。
Regular experimental activity in the lab is essential to successfully completing a research project. Lab notes should be well kept. Students are welcome to discuss his/her research results with the professor on a regular basis. Research direction and the details of the experiment will be adjusted according to the new data obtained from the experiments. Students are expected to prepare the research report in a professional manner. In addition, good, participatory attendance in the research meeting is essential to successful completing this course. Students are expected to present his/her research results and to participate in the discussion on the subjects presented by fellow labmate speakers. The speakers are expected to present his/her research results in a professional manner after the collected experimental data has been properly analyzed and related journal papers of his/her research have been read in depth. For any question that the speakers cannot answer properly in their presentations, he/she will have to properly address the question in the next research meeting period. Students should obtain approval from the professor for missing the research meeting ahead of time.
